Day 1: Delhi
Arrival on Delhi International airport and be transferred to hotel. Overnight in Delhi, in a hotel.
Day 2: Delhi – Kanpur via Sankasiya (480 kms / 9 hrs)
7.00 am: leave for Kanpur (breakfast on the way) via visiting Sankasiya; where Lord Buddha descended from Tushita heaven after preaching Abhidhamma to his mother, who had rebirth there as a male god.
12:00- hrs: Lunch in Sankasya.
6.00 pm: arrive Kanpur; check in – in a hotel.
7.00 am: Tea.
8:00 pm: Dinner.
Overnight in a guest house in Kanpur.
Day 3: Kanpur – Varanasi (Saranath) (350 kms / 5 .30 hrs)
7:00 am: Breakfast and leave for Varanasi with packed lunch.
1:00 pm: arrive Varanasi (Saranath) , check in - in a hotel.
2:00 pm : (Saranath) where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon to five vikkhus. Visit Dhammeka stupa, Mulagandakuti vihara , Saranath museum.
5:30 p.m - Tea and shopping.
6:00 pm – Puja and in Mulagandha kuti vihara
8:00- Pm: Dinner
Overnight in a guest house.
Day 4: Saranath – Bodhgaya ( 275 Kms 4.30 hrs )
7 am: Breakfast.
8 am: Leave for Bodhgaya, on the way visit the palace of King Brahmadatta from Jataka tales, Dungesori caves where Lord Buddha spent six years practicing duskarkriya (self inflicting pain and hardship).
5 pm: Arrive Bodhgaya. Check in – in a hotel.
5.30 pm tea.
7.00 pm dinner.
Overnight stay in a guest house in Bodhgaya.
Day 5:- Bodhgaya
7 am :- Breakfast
8 am: - Full day of Sil Dana in Bodhgaya, where Lord Buddha was enlightened. Visit Mahabodhi temple; Vajrasana spot where Lord Buddha sat and enlightened , Animeshlochan chaitaya, Ratanagar, Chankramana , Ajapala Nigodh tree, now marked by a pillar , lotus pond , Ashokan pillar.
12 noon:- Lunch
1 pm: - Sujata temple, where a girl named Sujata offered food to Lord Buddha before he went on meditation in Bodhgaya.
4: Pm - Back in Bodhgaya.
5: Pm - Tea.
7: Pm - Dinner.
Overnight stay in hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day 6: Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Vaisali (248 kms / 6.30 hrs)
5: am - Breakfast
6: am - leave for Vaisali with packed lunch.
8.30 am - Visit Rajgir where Lord Buddha first came looking for a teacher; Gijjakuta (Vulture peak) where Lord Buddha gave many sermons.Benubana Bimbisar prision. Sattapani Caves : A sacred site where the first Buddhist council was convened in 483 BCE soon after the Buddha's death. Ruins of Nalanda University.
5: pm - Tea on the coach.
6:pm - Arrive Vaisali in the evening.
8: pm - Dinner.
Overnight stay in Vaisali at Srilankan monastery guest house.
Day 7: Vaisali – Kushinagara (195 kms 5 hrs)
7: am - Breakfast
8: am - Visit Ananda stupa and Lord Buddha’s relic stupa in Vaisali. Then after leave for Kushinagar via Kesariya stupa (world’s tallest stupa) where Lord Buddha gave famous Kalama sutta.
12 :00 noon - Lunch.
4:30 pm - Arrive Kusinagara.
5.30 pm - Tea.
7.00 pm - Dinner
Overnight stay in Kushinagara at Srilankan monastery guest house.
Day 8: Kushinagara – Lumbini – Sravasti (428 kms / 9 hrs)
5: am - Visit Mahaparinirvana temple and stupa; and nearby is a site where Lord Buddha took his last breath; Rambahar stupa where Lord Buddha was cremated. Buddhaghat by river Hiranyavati where Lord Buddha rested and asked venerable Ananda to bring water from.
7:am - After breakfast leave for Lumbini.
11 am - Arrive Lumbini.
11.30 - Lunch
12.30 - Visit Mayadevi temple where the marker stone of the birth of Lord Buddha is located. Puskarini pond where the lord Buddha was bathed after his birth. Ashokan pillar.
2.30 - Leave for Sravasti where Lord Buddha spent 25 Vassas (rain retreat) 19 in Jetavana and 6 in Pubbarama monastery.
5: pm - Tea and snacks served on the bus.
8:30 pm - Arrive Sravasti.
9.30pm - Dinner
Overnight stay in Sravasti in Srilankan temple guest house.
Day 09 : Sravasti.
8 : am - Breakfast.
9 : am - Morning visit Jetavana garden which was gifted to Buddha by Anatha Pindika; Angulimala stupa .
12:30 pm - Lunch
Remaining day for rest and shopping.
6 : pm - Tea.
7: pm - Dinner.
Rest of the day is for your leisure.
Day 10 - Sravasti - Agra (483 kms / 10 hrs)
6: am - Breakfast.
7 : am - Leave for Agra with packed lunch.
5: pm - Tea and snacks served
7 : pm - Arrive Agra. Check in – in a hotel.
8 : pm - Dinner.
Day 11- 8 am: Breakfast.
9:00- am: A day tour of Agra. Visit Taaj Mahal and Agra fort. (Monument entrance fee of Taaj Mahal and Agra fort is not inclusive on package).
12:00 noon - Lunch
01: pm - Leave for Delhi in the evening.
5:30 pm - Arrive Delhi. Check in - a hotel
6:0 pm - Tea
7:30 - Dinner
Overnight stay in a guest house in Delhi.
Day 12: Day tour of Delhi.
8: am - Breakfast.
9 : am - Visit Raj Ghat – The cremation site of the Mahatma Gandhi; to India Gate - a 42 meter stone arch built in the memory of the Indian Soldiers who died in 2nd World war , Humayun's Tomb (a memorial of the Mughals, its design is inspired by the Taj Mahal), the Qutab Minar & Lotus Temple. Overnight stay in the hotel.
01: pm - Lunch
3 :pm - Back in hotel.
Day 13: Delhi - Colombo
Morning breakfast / lunch according to the flight schedule.
